Simple solution from Maha Periyavar

An aggrieved farmer visited Kanchi Mutt.

His grievance :  He had a mango tree in his farm.  Despite its blooming, it never appears to grow any mango.

He offered his prayers to Maha periyavar and stood there before Periyavar.

Periyavar could see the sorrow in his face.

Periyava asked him, "What pains you?"

The farmer narrated his grievance.

Periyava just provided him instant solution: "Go, plant some more mango saplings near your existing plant".

That time, there was an agricultural scientist present and observed the conversation between Swami and the farmer.

The scientist wondered at the genius of the Mahaswami and exclaimed how Mahaswami knew so much about Pollination without having studied at any agricultural institution.  The solution from Mahaswami may look simple.  The idea behind His advice was so profound.  When the farmer had just a single plant, all the flowers from the tree withered away and just didn't proceed to yield any mango.  If the farmer plants some more similar plants, he would create an atmosphere for pollination and there would be bees, butterflies to help pollination.  Interesting it's to note by the way Albert Einstein's quote:  "If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live"

Isn't it Mahaswami, the Master in conveying the message without actually elaborating the process?!

Simple solution from Maha Periyavar

"The person who plants trees, knowing that they will never sit in their shade, has at least started to understand the meaning of life." - Rabindranath Tagore.
